Devin and I approach parenting from different angles:
Take this morning for instance, Devin developed a new method to dealing with a Kyan tantrum (read throwing any object nearby several times if necessary, slamming doors, screaming, and hitting if possible). He is Mr. Mom on Tuesdays and runs a whole different ship. Devin's approach this morning used the effective method of imitation which escalated the trantrum into a fight between father and son. Mia assessed the situation and decided she needed to intervene.
She proceeded to let Devin know he was doing more harm than good. She told Devin several times he was "teaching him bad habits" and the mommy would be mad at what he was doing. Devin got a kick out of lecture. Later Mia was able to prove her point again after Kyan hit her during a squabble over a balloon "you teach him bad habits."
