Crabby Apple

The crab apple tree.
It lives in our neighbor’s yard, but shares with us.  I have a love/hate relationship with this tree.  The shade that is offered during the summer months is appreciated. But then the crab apples ripen.  The squirrels eat a few bites and then drop them as well as the bits.  Flies love the partially eaten apples.  And my love the tree weens daily as I walk through the mess.

Then there was this.

The blooms on the tree were pretty spectacular before this happened.  Stepping out of the garage to  see such a pretty site in the yard was quite a welcome home. Our cement slab has never looked so pretty.  Another reason to find peace with the crab.
