The kids are hanging out with Grandma while Papa and Daddy set up the Christmas surprise in the basement.
Here is our tree. I'm a little sad that the tree will be coming down at the end of the week. My favorite part of the night is sitting in a dark room with just the tree lights.
We headed to Michigan after picking up the Amsterdam representatives from O'Hara. The weather wasn't anything winter like so our drive to Michigan was without event.
Our Michigan Christmas edition was typical of our family gatherings. I will share some details of the weekend for those who were a bit too far away to join in the festivities.
We discovered that Aunt Daphne is a puzzle wizard; and she has the patience to include 3 children at once without loosing her cool AND on top of that she gave a geography lesson. I am in awe!
There was the general gathering around the TV in concern for the team the usually loses but pulled out a win. Could have been the "positive vibes" which were requested by a certain resolute fan.
The Christmas Dinner table was full - but not busting at the seams as usual. We were down 6.
The presents for the kids soon followed after the meal to kids didn't lose their patience. Everyone was pleased with their gifts.

The Netherlands has really invaded
The best Christmas gift EVER!! Just ask me about it!
The kids did a LOT of screaming and running and playing in the basement but did find some quiet activities in between all of that. No one was injured and they all had a great time together.
One new addition to the Christmas celebration this year involved a set of fun games called Minute to Win It. Have you heard of it? I blame my sister-in-law for all the fun. She loves to compete and add a bit of flavor. I will save you from having to watch all 4 videos of each couples competition and will share with you the best of the bunch.
I bring you 'Jingle in the trunk' the best version possible. Enjoy!!
(M & D: Devin is afraid that you will write him out of the will, he would like to disassociate himself from the posting of this video and let you know that this was all my idea.)
