progress continues

What a difference a couple days make.   Over the weekend things were quiet in the kitchen but Monday marked the beginning of major progress.   


That on the left is my massive pantry that I can't wait to fill and bring all the food  up from the pantry I've had in the basement for too long! The cabinets were hung too low on day one but were fixed today. 

This is the future home of the breakfast bar.  I've wanted a place for seating in the kitchen for so long and this will be a great place for the kids (all three can fit) to work or eat while I cook in the kitchen.

The next step is finishing of the kitchen floor, refinishing the dining room floor to match and the last minute addition of the hallway where wood floors lay hidden beneath layers of tile.  Hopefully we will only be camping out at the in-laws for one night.
