I'm rooting for the home team.
I cast my vote early. As I marked my ballot it felt so much bigger than any other Presidential election I have voted in. This time I CARE. Not that I didn't care 4 years ago, but I had no HOPE. No HOPE for a better tomorrow, this time I BELIEVE in change.
I was one of the 65,000 to receive a ticket to Obama's Election Event in Grant Park tonight. We're not going...the logistics with 3 small kids, late night and work tomorrow didn't work itself out. I've passed the tickets along in hopes my brother and his girlfriend can get in.
A few minutes ago I found myself getting emotional about this election and America's decision. I have never felt this way about politics...I'm happy to say MY VOTE COUNTS!
