TEN

We celebrated a 10th birthday this weekend.

Wrapping up the year can be hard.  Lately his comments have been taking me by surprise.  When given the option between riding with mom in the old van or with dad in the newer car, mom always wins out.  I'm starting to think that he doesn't want me to ride alone.  He is starting to get annoyed by his parents, and it's fun to annoy him!  He is fun kid.  Still loving Legos.  He has started to draw and continues to developing a mall.  Yesterday while we drove around he jotted down names of more stores to add to his mall.  Now a percussionist in band he performed at his first solo ensemble on Saturday  and scored a 1 on the snare drum and a perfect 1 playing the bells for his solo!  We were so happy to see him play. I curious to see where all these interests take him in the future.

Found some last minute inspiration for this cake.

It has been a blessing to parent this young man.  Looking forward to the next year.
